Zoe Moctezuma, M.A., AMFT
Zoe Moctezuma received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and completed her practicum at SHIELDS for Families. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at California State University Sacramento. Zoe has experience working with teens, individuals, and families presenting with relationship concerns, depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. Zoe is currently a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#153241) directly supervised by Dr. Rachel Brosamle (PSY 28443).
Zoe is trained in narrative, somatic, and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy approaches, as well as functional family therapy. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered, with a focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship. From a strength-based lens, Zoe works with clients to identify relational patterns, process lived experiences, and address concerns with compassion.
Zoe is passionate about working with adults, couples, and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, phobias, and relational concerns. Zoe is an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist with a particular interest in working with clients in non-traditional relationships.
