Associate Professional Clinical Counselor(APCC)

A registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) is an unlicensed practitioner who is allowed to provide psychotherapy under the direct supervision of a licensed professional. At Culver Psychotherapy, our APCCs have completed their Masters degrees and 2+ years of graduate level training and clinical experience, including a year-long internship with direct clinical service.

Though our APCCs are only a year or less away from a license to practice independently, they work under the direct supervision of Dr. Rachel Brosamle (CA license: PSY 28443). Per state requirements, APCCs meet weekly with Dr. Brosamle to supervise their cases and provide additional training. Clients can benefit from this model as there are multiple therapists addressing their case and assuring the quality of the services they are receiving.

Fee

Associate Professional Clinical Counselors are able to provide therapy at a lower fee than licensed psychologists. At Culver Psychotherapy our APCCs charge $180 per session. Sessions are a standard 50 minutes. They can also provide you with superbill that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement depending on your insurance policy.
